I had an amazing summer!! Last week, I completed the 8-Week, Shakespeare and Jacobean Summer Acting Course at LAMDA in London.  The picture below is my cohort of 15, one of three cohorts in the 8-Week course this year, and every one of these amazing people I hope will be a friend for life.  We were a global group, coming from the US, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Korea, and Russia, and we truly formed an ensemble. The picture was taken in Weston Hall at LAMDA. (See a bigger version of the picture on my Pictures tab.)

Also in the picture, next to me, is Dickon Tyrell, RSC and Shakespeare's Globe actor, who directed our sharing of a scaled down version of John Webster's The Duchess of Malfi.  DT was fabulous to work with, and I learned so much from him.

It was great spending the summer in London, but classes were intense.  I wanted to see so much of the city, but we were in classes every weekday from 9:15 AM until 5:30 PM, and some days, when we had a sharing approaching, we worked later.  So evenings and weekends were spent resting and learning lines.

Now, I am back in the US and hoping to put some of the things I learned into practice.

More from me soon.
